Magic Memories

Dear Diary,

Since my last stay in hospital to have the blood transfusion, I've largely been stuck in bed - making it difficult to use my laptop and update my blog.

I'm going to try to use my iPhone for the near future and I'm going to try to write about memories from my past that are special to me.

Five Books I Love

Dear Diary,

I'm feeling a little bit better today and I decided to blog about some books that I love.

Check them out:

FIVE BOOKS I LOVE

01. The Beach - Alex Garland

So much adventure and mystery. Love it.

02. Down Under - Bill Bryson

A brilliant travelogue about Australia.

03. In The Heart Of The Sea - Nathaniel Philbrick

The real life story of Moby Dick and the whaling ship it destroyed. Must read.

04. The Flashman series - George MacDonald Fraser

Brilliant historical fiction set around a rather descipable yet somewhat endearing British soldier over a hundred years ago.

05. The Jack Reacher series - Lee Child

I love everything about the Jack Reacher character and series. Jack is an ex military police office who always seems to show up when people need him most.

What about you? What some books that YOU love?

Massage

Dear Diary,

Lately, I have been feeling pretty ordinary but I've discovered how much better a good massage can make me feel.

Jenny is AMAZING at it and Mum does pretty well too. I'm also going to book in with some professionals a couple of times a week too - Danielle, do you home visit to Annandale? :P

Sitting Bones

Dear Diary,

My biggest frustastion at the moment is that my sitting bones are too painful to sit on.  They were sore before, but got considerably worse after I went back to hospital last week.

Everything seems so difficult as a result of this so I'm putting my full attention on healing this at the moment. That means only resting on my sides, using a special cushion when I have to sit, regular icing and pretty anything else I can to do heal it.

Wish me luck guys!!!

Quick Visit To Hospital

Dear Diary,

I had to back to hospital from Tuesday to Thursday this week due to a low blood count so they could correct that with a blood transfusion.

I feel a lot better now and I'm glad to be home but my A Team Journal updates might be a bit less frequent for a while.

I hope you're all well. xoxo

Janine, Ambre, Matt Visit

Dear Diary,

Yesterday I had a bit a rest day and watched the NRL in the afternoon (Roosters vs Panthers).

Then in the evening, Janine, Ambre and Matt visited Mum and I! It was lovely to see them and to hear about what they have been up to. Janine is staying for a week and Ambre the weekend with Matt so I should be able to see them again, especially Janine who is staying close-by in Annandale.

Early in the morning, I also ate some spaghetti bolognese that Janine bought me and watched France defeat Lithuania in the bronze medal game of the basketball World Cup.

new iPhone 5c!

Dear Diary,

After almost five years of thoroughly enjoying using my iPhone 3gs, I've finally upgraded to an iPhone 5c.

I took advantage of the announcement of the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus to get the iPhone 5c for only $639 instead of $869 so I'm very happy with the price and purchase.

I loved my old phone but it was breaking down and the camera was a bit of a joke so I'm very excited to finally have a new phone!

A Team readers, what phone to you currently have? What do you love or hate most about it? Are you thinking thinking of upgrading or happy for now?

Best Mum Ever!

Dear Diary,

I'm sure lots of people say they have the best Mum ever and I'm sure they are right from their perspective.

From my perspective though, my Mum has always loved and cared for me so much and made so many sacrifices for me that in my eyes, she has to be the best Mum ever.

She worked super hard to provide for me, making sure I always had enough food and anything else I needed.

She always got the best Xmas and Bday presents even when could really afford them and she would get me books, music cassettes and CDs, pay for all my sporting activities and get me anything I needed or wanted.

She also was smart enough to raise me in the Mosman area giving me access to the schools, friends, contacts and environment to succeed without almost any negative influences. How smart and thoughtful is that?

She was also my number no 1 fan and encouraged fully me at everything I did and made me feel at though I could do well at anything.

I could on an on about why I think I have the best Mum ever but I'll end it here and hope that my words have done her at least some justice of how much of an amazing mother she been to me.

Thanks Mum!!

Physio Visit And Exercises

Dear Diary,

Yesterday, a physio visited me to assess my current physical condition and to prescribe some exercises and stretches that I can do everyday to strengthen my muscles and overall health and fitness.

She also encouraged me to start walking a little bit more everyday so I'm going to start by walking down the stairs and then the next day walking a few steps outside my apartment and so on like that until I can get to the local cafe or Annandale Village or even further.

I glad I arranged the physio to visit and I'm happy with the advice she gave me and I look forward to the improvements that come from it.

Eastern Suburbs Drive With Jenny And Jessy

Dear Diary,

Yesterday I went for a drive with Jenny and this time Jessy came along too!

We started of by replacing my moon chair which had a fault with it and then bought a really nice wheelchair at this speciality store in Randwick.

From there  drove to the Eastern Suburbs beaches, starting with beautiful Coogee where had lunch and Jenny had a quick walk along the beach.

Then we went Gordon's Bay which was my favourite spot as we could look out over the whole ocean directly from the car.

Then we continued to Watson's Bay where bought some delicious ice creams and enjoyed the view before dropping Jessy off near her Uni and then coming home where I had a BIG nap.

Overall, it was a beautiful day and a lovely drive and I have to thank Jenny for taking us!
